Gifts of Securities
A gift of publicly traded securities can be a tax-smart way to make a significant difference.
By donating eligible appreciated securities directly to St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation, you can support better everyday experiences for residents of St. Joseph’s Villa and compassionate end-of-life care for patients and families at Margaret’s Place Hospice, while potentially receiving valuable tax benefits.
When eligible securities are donated directly to a registered charity, the capital gain is generally not subject to tax, and you receive a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the gift.
