The Return of the House of Providence Picnic

Step back in time and join us at the “House of Providence Picnic” to celebrate the care and residents at St. Joseph’s Villa and Margaret’s Place Hospice.

The House of Providence Picnic has a rich history dating back to 1879, when it was first organized to raise funds for the initial care home on the grounds of our campus.

The picnic was a beloved annual event for 92 years by the community, before coming to a halt when the home was destroyed in a devastating fire in 1971. The tradition was briefly reinstated to support the care at St. Joseph’s Villa before being replaced by our Foundation’s annual gala.

Bringing back the House of Providence Picnic will create a staff- and resident-centred event that is so deserved after the few years we have all been through.

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities available for the return of this historic event. As a sponsor, your organization will have the opportunity to participate in the event and engage with staff and residents through activities such as live music, face painting, yard games and much more.

We invite your organization to become a sponsor of this event and help make it a truly memorable experience for all involved. Click here to view sponsorship opportunities.
