Meet the incredible Heroes behind the PPE

#VillaHeroes: Meet the heroes behind the PPE

.

St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation has been deeply inspired by the bravery and dedication of our essential staff who stand on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have truly exemplified what it means to be a health care hero, keeping our most vulnerable populations safe and finding the silver lining through the toughest of times.

Their stories of adversity, perseverance and nimbleness to make the most of every situation are admirable. These stories deserve to be heard.

With HEROES Gala on the horizon, we look forward to celebrating our valued staff and essential workers leading up to their big day. Every week until the gala, St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation will be sharing our #VillaHeroes and their inspiring stories with you.

Welcoming our valued partners, Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club, to the site of Margaret’s Place Hospice

As the vision of Margaret’s Place comes to life on the Villa grounds, it has been exciting to show the progress to those who’ve made it possible.

This past week, we welcomed the crew from Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club (G&CC) for their first tour of the hospice. Dundas Valley G&CC has been a long-time partner of the Foundation, offering up their beautiful golf course and venue for our annual golf fundraiser. The club’s support in hosting these events has made it possible to sustain the much-needed programs and services for our residents in long-term care.

Not only are Dundas Valley G&CC’s staff so supportive, but its members are as well. It’s this strong community tie that makes it possible for St. Joseph’s Villa to continue raising the standard of quality and care in Ontario.

We are so fortunate to live where we do, in a community that supports each other and truly shines during the most challenging time,” said Don Davidson, President & CEO, St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation.

“Showing the Dundas Valley G&CC team the development of Margaret’s Place today was lots of fun. It’s always amazing to see our guests’ reactions as they roam through the halls and visualize what the home will become.”

We have a lot planned for 2021 in collaboration with Dundas Valley G&CC, and we’re excited for you to join us!

Celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph!

March 19th marks a very special day in our community as we celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph.

St. Joseph was a man of reserve and humility, a guide and a protector. In his honour, Father Michael Bennett shares this beautiful reading.
